About the game

Description

The game is implemented in the form of solving problems - challenges by competing groups, composed of employees from different departments. The team that completes all the challenges wins the Universe of Operational Excellence.

The game is an excellent combination of training and integration of teams from different departments, and is a great summary of working together for companies on the road to operational excellence

Goal

Enables a large number of participants to learn about the areas of use of Lean Management concepts and tools in a fun format. The game also makes it possible to check the level of knowledge about the improvement activities used in the company.

Game flow

Participants, divided into teams of about 40 people, have a total of 48 tasks to complete, which take place on 6 planets, populated by 8 planetarians each. Among them will be a cooperative master, conqueror, controller, eliminator, standardizer and others. Depending on the planet, planetarians have tasks to complete with varying degrees of difficulty and completion time, which translates into the number of points possible for a given task.

After solving a task, teams return to the base to submit their solution into the hands of analysts, who evaluate the provided results on an ongoing basis. Each task has clear evaluation criteria so that participants know what specifically they are being evaluated for.

The process

In multi-person teams we set out from the Earth Base to conquer the Universe of Operational Excellence. To do this, we have 6 planets (pillars) to master - Efficiency, Flexibility, Quality, Results, Logistics, Personnel. Each planet is characterized by a different environment and is inhabited by Planetarians of different nature and strength (level of difficulty of tasks).

In order to conquer a planet, you need to win the sympathy of at least one of the Planetarians in power there, that is, correctly complete the tasks set by him. If you complete all the challenges prepared by the Planetarians you will conquer the entire Universe of Operational Excellence.
