The value of simulation games according to participants in our workshops:
The use of simulation games is the future of education at all levels. Today's teachers, more than ever before, have to fight for the attention of their students, whose short attention spans pose a challenge to many a didactician. Using game elements in the classroom is a great way to gain and maintain students' concentration on the material being taught. Simulation games are thus, in my opinion, the most effective form of imparting practical and theoretical knowledge.
LeanQ Team simulation games perfectly combine theory and practice. In an attractive way, they engage players to think and act in accordance with Kaizen principles. Games are a great way of learning about both lean concepts and tools. The use of simulation games in the education of young people is a fantastic tool to help develop the attitudes and skills of students that are desired by employers. By engaging in the game, students learn about the concept of implementing lean management while developing soft skills.
The simulation games organised by the LeanQ Team focus simultaneously on the micro and macro scales in the company. On the micro scale, we go down to a single operation, improving it. Then we explore the impact on the process and the effects on the whole company, i.e. the macro scale. This changes and broadens the perspective and increases the business awareness of the participants. As a result, we see that every operation matters.
The training in the form of a simulation game, organised by LeanQTeam, was a very interesting and valuable experience. I learned what it means to improve a process and how to look for areas that need improvement. What's more, it was very satisfying to monitor the results after each round. I think the simulation game is a great way to show what it means to be Lean
